Wayne Martindale
Sheffield Hallam University
After a research career in biochemistry Wayne became a commercial agronomist with Levington Agriculture Ltd and provided management advice for arable and livestock production. At the end of the 1990's this naturally led to working with consumer issues and food products.
He holds an OECD fellowship in sustainable agricultural systems (2001), and, British Grassland Society and Sir George Stapledon Memorial Fellowships in sustainable grazing systems (2002). He is currently research lead on food supply chain projects at Sheffield Hallam University's Food Innovation Centre. He has published over 30 papers across agri-food supply, produced a film with Purdue University on 160 years of sustainable wheat production and has recently taken part in the BBCs 'Mad About Food' series.
